The Generac Next-Gen 18kW Home Standby Generator activates automatically within 10–20 seconds of a grid outage — no manual start, no extension cords, no intervention required. Connected to your home's natural gas or LP supply, it runs indefinitely as long as fuel is available, protecting your home through outages that last hours, days, or longer.

Permanently installed outside the home and connected directly to your home's electrical panel through the included transfer switch, the Next-Gen monitors the grid continuously and self-tests weekly to confirm it's ready before you need it. The durable aluminum enclosure is weather-rated for year-round outdoor installation in all climates.

Cellular, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity provide remote monitoring and real-time status through the Generac Mobile Link app — push notifications for self-test results, maintenance reminders, and active outage status. The optional Smart Management Module intelligently manages load prioritization to prevent generator overload during peak demand conditions.
