The Generac Guardian® 22kW Home Standby Generator activates automatically within 10–20 seconds of a grid outage — no manual start, no extension cords, no intervention required. Connected to your home's natural gas or LP supply, it runs indefinitely as long as fuel is available, protecting your home through outages that last hours, days, or longer.

Permanently installed outside the home and connected directly to your home's electrical panel through the included transfer switch, the Guardian® monitors the grid continuously and self-tests weekly to confirm it's ready before you need it. The durable aluminum enclosure is weather-rated for year-round outdoor installation in all climates.

Wi-Fi connectivity via Generac Mobile Link provides remote monitoring, active status alerts, and maintenance tracking through the Generac app. The optional Smart Management Module intelligently manages load prioritization to prevent generator overload during peak demand conditions.
